Despite what
seems like a bit of a setback to the upcoming Shins album,
Port of Morrow, it's set for release on March 20th, and Mercer released the first single, "Simple Song," via his website. You can
head over their now and pre-order the album, with the option to purchase the "Deluxe Audiophile Pack" which comes with a reel-to-reel version of the album. Yep. Reel-to-reel. Mercer wrote and recorded the album with members of Wild Flag, Modest Mouse, the Fruit Bats, and a couple of his old Shins members. Check out the track below:
