Listen: The Wooden Sky, "Child Of The Valley"

After their 2009 sophomore release, "If I Don't Come Home You'll Know I'm Gone," Toronto based The Wooden Sky is set to issue their follow up, "Every Child A Daughter, Every Moon a Sun" on February 28th via Black Box Recordings. Their sophomore album was produced by Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Thee Silver Mt. Zion), and Anissa Hart (The Rural Alberta Advantage), Mika Posen (Forest City Lovers), and Edwin Huizinga (The Mars Volta) often join the group to add their respective take on strings (cello, viola, & violin, respectively). If single "Child Of The Valley" is any indication of the band's sound on their forthcoming album, they've returned to the layered, atmospheric folk-rock of "If I Don't Come Home"--a combination of intimate and grandiose, an exercise in acutely beautiful folk. Thanks to Nick for passing this along. You can see a list of the band's tour dates here. Enjoy:
