Listen: Lindstrom's, "De Javu"

Since his 2009 release, Where You Go I Go Too, Norwegian producer Hans-Peter Lindstrom has released numerous collaborations and one-offs, so we were excited to hear single "De Javu" off his recently released second solo album, Six Cups of Rebel. Lindstrom's unique "space disco" style still forms the foundation of many of the album's tracks, but his expert layering and inclusion of more diverse soundscapes showcase an evolution of his composition and production that's refreshing for a major electronic artist. The tribal breakdown three-quarters of the way through "De Javu," and inclusion of looped vocals and guttural, wild complaints that, "I can't get no release," only underscore the funky release this track truly provides. It's the soundtrack to the dance party I might have in the future. Later today. Right now.  Enjoy.
